Empath is a Los Angeles–based contemporary womenswear label founded in 2021 by Japanese-Singaporean designer Emily Arakawa.
Rooted in 90s minimalism and refinement, the label’s design codes are also deeply influenced by Japanese culture.
Inspired by her upbringing in Tokyo, Emily designs for the modern city girl—exploring the subversion of the classic capsule wardrobe.
A buttery soft draped jersey tee layered with sheer mesh to accentuate its folds and pleats, creating a fluid, “wet” look.
